Be a Part of the Conversation On Race, Privilege, and Power on January 19!
Looking to do more good in more places in 2019? Be sure to join the newly reorganized local unit of the United Methodist Women for a very special event titled "Understanding Race, Privilege and Power: A Conversation," taking place Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 9 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. in Founders Hall.
Be a part of a frank conversation on race and privilege—two hot-button words that quickly conjure negative feelings across the board as widely evidenced on social and news media and society in general - and examine what role power plays. The conversation will be led by Rev. Katie Lineberger, Executive Director of United Wesley of Miami, which is the united campus ministry serving the campuses of Florida International University, University of Miami, and Miami Dade College. For more information, please contact Pat Tabois, Vice President, South East District United Methodist Women, at email@example.com or (954) 298-0124.
For 150 years, United Methodist Women have organized laywoman and mobilized for God's global mission of the church. Congratulations to our very own First Coral Gables Organization/ Unit of United Methodist Women for officially receiving their Certificate of Re-Organization on January 6, 2019! We look forward to continuing to write the next exciting chapter at FUMCCG!
