Small groups are a wonderful and transformative way to go deeper into God's word, to enhance your understanding of the world around us while fortifying your faith. They are also a wonderful way to make real-life connections with family members of our Christian community who can help you grow in your walk with Christ.

At First UMC Coral Gables, our church family is dedicated to helping you build lasting and meaningful relationships with others, to care for you and help you develop and use your spiritual gifts to their full potential. Wherever you are in your life, we want to walk beside you!

We are proud to have a wonderful assortment of bible study groups nurtured by insightful and caring members of our church family. Our new season of spiritual exploration and growth has just kicked off so be sure to check our listings and find one that is pefect for you.

Expand Your Horizons - Fellowship With Us!

"Wednesday Night Fellowship" Calls Your Name!"

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new fellowship program taking place from October 3- November 7, from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., which aims at strengthening your mind, body, and spirit while solidifying your one-on-one connection  with Jesus and each other! Join us for our first gathering on October 3, featuring a "Gospel Sing" with Carol Dunstall on the piano with the Cokesbury Quartet singing the great old hymns from the Cokesbury Hymnal.

The six-week program will kick off every week with a no-cost light meal (donations accepted) from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. in the Head Center and then offer two parallel class tracks meeting in two different rooms. In the first track, meeting in Room 225, Pastor Phillip will offer a study of Brother Lawrence's book "The Practice of the Presence of God". This classic text reveals how to find the majesty of God and his redeeming presence in the simple tasks of daily life. The second class track, offered in the Head Center by Dr. Grace Eves, is entitled "Be in Health - Body, Mind, and Spirit."  It all culminates on November 7 with an incredible musical program by a special surprise guest that you won't want to miss.

Childcare will be provided for each session, with participants needing to pre-register by calling Zunilda Mederos at the Church Office at (305) 445-2578.
