Weekday Entrance to Church Campus

January 3, 2018 | 0 comments

To ensure the safety of our students at The Growing Place, we have taken measures to set up our church’s campus to be as secure as possible. Beginning Monday, August 24, ALL entrances to the church buildings (doors and gates both upstairs and downstairs) will be locked Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Anyone needing to enter the buildings for any reason–this includes visitors, parents, and church members alike–will be required to sign in with a photo ID at either the church’s or school’s main offices.

Weekday entrances to the church will be the gates in the alley, the gates on Coral Way/Segovia/N. Greenway circle, and the main entrance to the school in the Hanger Building. To enter the building, you will need to ring the bell (there are bells at all 3 entrances) and wait for a staff or security person to assist you. Please refer to the map for preferred entrances.

Staff and security personnel will have a list of scheduled meetings and events, and to make the check-in process as easy as possible, please have your photo ID ready when you enter.
Our church and school continue to be a safe place where we welcome and encourage parent and community involvement. This additional security step will enhance the measures we already have in place for student and staff safety. If you have any questions you may contact us at (305) 445-2578 or ministries@fumccg.org/cdekker@fumccg.org.
