CHAPMAN PARTNERSHIP FOR THE HOMELESS

Join us in preparing and serving meals for those in need! This program assists homeless men, women, and children in transition off of Miami’s streets and on their way to attaining greater stability and self-sufficiency in their lives. See more details at the Chapman Partnership website.

When: Every third Friday of the month — Carpools depart from First UMC Coral Gables

mobile homeless shower

Calling all men! Please join us in support of the Homeless Ministry of our sister church, First UMC Miami. A truly rewarding experience, we assist with the operation of their mobile shower units to provide up to 100 showers a week to our community's homeless population. Our volunteers are usually finished by 8:15am, in plenty of time to be back in First UMC Coral Gables for our 9:30am and 11:00am services! More details at the First UMC Miami website.

When: First Sunday of every month, between 5:30am and 5:45am.

Branches empowers people to move from poverty to prosperity through holistic youth development, small business development, and hunger relief ministries in South Florida. First UMC Coral Gables is proud to work with Branches on ongoing projects including Climb to College and the Tutoring as South Miami Branches Program. For more information, please visit the Branches website. Branches’ Climb to College helps prepare and assist high school students to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary for that next step after High School. Climb to College & Career provides a series of workshops, mentoring and completion of a post-secondary plan.
